Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

30 rows knitted on the second rainbow arm warmer, and as with the pink and brown pair I knitted a couple of weeks ago, they aren't going to match. I have a feeling it would be near impossible to make two the same using such random yarn.

I actually bought them specifically from online craft store. I do use old cards sometimes but these were new materials.

I've finished decorating the Christmas tree. The results - and a full display of this year's cookies - can be viewed here.

I also baked a Yule log cake and can proudly announce that it turned out very well.

I've baked bread (from frozen), made deviled eggs, made a spiced apple cider thingy.

Also nearly started a hexagon cardigan about 3 times but keep getting interrupted. Maybe Monday then.

THE MOTIFS ARE DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!!

Tomorrow I start the finishing. As usual for me, I neglected to weave in ends as I went along (one of these years I'll learn!) so that will take a huge chunk of the day. I don't expect to finish the blanket tomorrow, but I'm pleased I met my goal of finishing the motifs by Christmas, at least.

I knit while watching a movie & some TV with my partner. I'm working on a scarf which is my own take on a simple pattern. I'm enjoying it.

Just a quick stop by to wish everyone well as I've been absent for so long but wanted you all to know that you are in my thoughts.

I did actually get a chance to do a little crafting earlier this week with my niece which was fun and gave good results (there are photos on my phone that I will transfer and post at some point). We tried our hand at Crystal/Diamond Art (I've seen it called both). She made some Christmas decorations and I made some mandala coasters. It was lovely to spend a couple of days together working on a project. She did the last of the coasters, having finished her decorations before I'd got everything finished. Apart from the struggle with backache from having had to sit at the dining room table for too many hours in a row, it was good fun. I definitely need to get a comfier chair in there!
