Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No crafting yet for me today, I've been writing the local Christmas cards. Still got gifts to wrap, but I'm not
doing that tonight.


My plan for the rest of the evening is to read fanfic and knit.

The scarf is finished! I wore it out today and it was delightfully cosy.

The slippers are progressing, with a few more inches done today on the body section.

Remember my solemn oath to take a crafting break at least until Christmas? Well, it lasted exactly until the 4th Sunday of Advent - which happens to be today.

Not being able to hold back any longer, I've started on the next page of Dani's quiet book. The template can be seen at 2:17 of this YouTube video, although mine will be a bit different. I added a pedestrian crosswalk and a stripe of blue sky, and chose a grey background (symbolizing asphalt). I hope it won't turn out too dark.

This will be Page 6 out of entirely 8 pages. And since I decided to do blanket stitch edging instead of seaming for this book, I might actually finish it by February, when the intended recipient turns two. *fingers crossed*

I am attaching the collar to the rest of the robe for my partner. I'm currently working on it while it's on the floor, on a sheet so that it doesn't get dirty from the floor and so that I can cover it so the dog can't get on it.

I'm trying to finish it so he can have it tonight! It's the first night of hannukah.

That sounds like a good method of keeping it clean while you work on it.

I hung the stars on the porch today. With the foyer taking longer to clean than expected I did not clean the porch as I hoped. Did another session of cleaning in the foyer. Now only the staircase woodwork remains to be cleaned. Hopefully in a couple sessions tomorrow I can get it taken care of. Or at least clean enough that it doesn't bother me.





I really like this. After we paint the house, I should make more porch decorations. Those are just star ornaments made with 3 strands of yarn instead of tiny thread.
