Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I'm still bouncing with happiness from the Strictly final! WOOHOO!


I did do some arm warmer knitting while I was watching, reached 100 rows on the first one and 10 rows on the second, so tonight I knitted 64 rows!

I've been cheering him on since the first week, I couldn't be happier! I honestly thought Fleur would win, so when Hamza's name was called out I was over the moon! Such a lovely man.

I loved all of the finalists and would've been happy with any of them winning; I think Fleur performed best in the final and as such she was my pick to win, but I'm certainly not disappointed with Hamza! He's so joyous.

Yes, same here. As much as I hoped Hamza would win, they were all so good I would have been happy no matter who came first. They all deserved a glitterball to take home. Hamza just always makes me smile, he was one of the few I was actually familiar with before the show because I'd seen him on a nature program and I'd really liked him then. Most years I have no clue who most of the contestants are.

We had our Christmas concert today - the first one in three years! It was a great success, but there was no heating in the church where we sang, so I'm doing drastic things to thaw out again and to avoid getting a cold for Christmas.

Me, too! When I was still working, I regularly went down with a really bad cold as soon as school ended and it lasted until school would restart in January. Now that I'm retired, I had undisturbed Christmasses for three years... I hope the tendency lasts!

Washed wallpaper in the foyer and some of the woodwork. Which was way worse than I anticipated and woodwork will take through tomorrow too.

Working a tiny bit on a dishcloth. I need to make some for myself next, all of mine are fit for the rag bag.

Well done on getting as far as you have!

That's the trouble with dishcloths - you use them and then you have to replace them.

Woodwork sounds a really hard job. Just don't over-extend yourself!

I got through the heel section of the first slipper, and now it's just some easy garter stitch for a little while!

Haha I suppose 'easy' is relative; I just had to think too hard on the heel and now I don't have to think until I get to the toe XD
