Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have finished knitting both arm warmers and they're 94 rows. I unpicked the last two rows I'd done on the one I was knitting yesterday so I'd have enough yarn for the cast-off row, and I just cast off the other one. I might try to get a photo of them both side-by-side before sewing them up to show the difference.


I really need to get photos cropped, re-sized, and posted. I never seem to get around to that, and considering I haven't even started writing cards or wrapping gifts, I have no idea when I'll get to it. I am so completely disorganised at the moment.

You may have lots of things you should be doing, but at least you'll have warm arms to do them :)

Very true. Arm warmers were definitely one of my better ideas. It's amazing the difference they make, not just to my arms and hands but to most of my body. I think a lot of body heart must escape through the wrists, a part that's often not covered.

I think you're right. I also learnt recently that wearing a scarf can help keep body heat in rather than having it escape at the neck.

How odd! Mind you, a lot of weird and unexpected things happen at the moment. I only posted the comment once.

Oh, I know! The same thing happened to me with LJ, too, a few times.

Over here I was getting told something hadn't worked so I kept trying and then found I'd posted the same comment 4 times while being told it had failed. Thankfully, that glitch was quickly fixed.

Finally blocked that scarf, and the wool for my slippers came today! I was going to start them tonight but I have too much to do before bed - definitely going to tomorrow while I watch a friend stream my favourite game, though.

I haven't been around for a bit and kind of still am not (ugh, life), but tonight I watched an online concert and crocheted a bunch on a blanket for my niece for, you know, Christmas, so that was a good thing.

I am hoping to finish it this weekend so I can let the internet teach me how to block things!

Life at this time of year gets in the way a lot! It does at other times of the year too, but December just seems to pile everything on. I sympathise.

Stitch club today! I chose to bring that secret present I'm working on rather than the blanket, because last time I worked on blanket motifs at the club I made soooo many mistakes and had to keep ripping back. The secret present is a lot of stockinette, and while at club I got rows 27-44 done. I'd like to get this finished by Christmas, but it's not a deal breaker if it's late.

I did one motif this afternoon. I streamed tonight so couldn't do one this evening, but I started a second after stream. Then I got distracted by something shiny, oops. So I haven't finished the second motif, which does suck BUT I have counted and I have 13 (of 72) left to do, so that's not too bad! Will work hard at them tomorrow.
