Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've taken today off from crafting and just about anything else that wasn't unavoidable, except for writing and reading a bit, because today was log day.


The logs arrived at 8.30 this morning, before I could even clean the fire out. Took me until 10.15 to move them all from the driveway to various places around the back of the house for storage. At least this time it didn't rain, although it did scatter some tiny ice crystals while I was out there. The logs were so dry though that the bark kept falling off, so I have piles of logs and three bags of large, curved chunks of bark, and some smaller bits.


Now I'm just relaxing and waiting for the Strictly results show.

I'm hurting a lot, not sure if I can manage going to town tomorrow as planned or not. Might have to leave it until Wednesday.

I baked four different sorts of Christmas cookies today; the last ones of the season. The full list can be viewed on my LJ (newest entry). Tomorrow I'll sort out my Christmas cards and write them, so that they might be posted on the day after. I'm quite sure they won't arrive in time, but as my Grandma always liked to say, within 8 days it still counts. *g*

You're further ahead than I am. I haven't even started thinking about cards =/

Well, I baked 19 different sorts altogether - that should be enough. Last year I went slightly insane with the 44 sorts, but this time I had the fair and will (hopefully) have all that choir activity, which is wonderful.

Yes, I remember you baking frenzy last year! *grins* You have other things to occupy you this year though.
