Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

No work on the mini meeces today, but I've started knitting a pair of arm warmers for a friend, and I'm 52 rows into the first one. I'll carry on with that once I've posted this comment.

In Hungarian, they are called "St. Nicholas's flowers", so finishing them on this day of all days was fitting, I think.
Also, I've packed all my wares together and took them to school, in case there'll be rain on Thursday. A good half of them are paper-based or otherwise sensitive to water, and since I don't have a car but do have a long walk from the bus stop to the school, I thought "better safe than sorry". I really hope nothing is gonna happen in the next two days and the fair can take place (and I can attend, too). It's been too long!
You can see a few pictures from the earlier fairs here. The last one was in 2019, due to stupid Covid.

Yes, best to get everything where it's going while the weather holds. Good luck with the fair!

SO this means I screwed up at the very beginning of the motif, and did (dc, ch1) only 7 times in the ring instead of 8 times. Which means I have to pull the entire motif out and redo it. Yes, I'm cranky.
To give myself a palate cleanser, I did some felt kits I picked up from the library. It's these, from a dollar store:
https://www.dollartree.com/crafters-square-felt-ornament-kits-12x16-in/207375
I just glued everything on. If that doesn't hold, I can needle felt them (I have a needle felting tool from a previous library kit). It took all of 20 minutes to do the three kits.
In a few minutes, I'll dive back into the crochet again. Right now I am taking a short internet break to catch up on all my sites. It's only 3:25pm here so still time to get a motif or two done today... done PROPERLY this time, I hope!

The felt kits look cute, simple but effective.
