Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's been very overcast, too dark for crafting, so I didn't get any work done on the mini meeces. Mostly I've just been writing and reading and doing chores. Maybe tomorrow I can get make to the meeces.

A break now and again isn't a bad thing. Not even an involuntary one.

It meant I could focus on my writing and getting a mod post done for another community, which I was a bit late with this time. I'm happy with what I got done.

I wrote A LOT, so I'm happy. I'm down to only needing about 825 words a day for the rest of the year to reach my goal of 300k words.

Today I've made a food run, decorated the rest of the cookies from yesterday, took down the laundry, cooked lunch, cut out the parts for 7 felt poinsettia flowers that I intend to sew until Thursday... somehow... - and then collapsed in front of my laptop, in serious need for some solitaire. Clearly, I'm getting old and need more time for everything than before. Much, much more time.

I'm not quite sure where the day went, but I:
--finished a dishcloth,
--made a giant red star ornament (~15 inches across)

I'm going to make a second star and I think I'll do green. There are two hooks on the front porch. Using 3 strands of worsted weight acrylic and a Q/15mm hook.

Sounds like you've done quite a lot. Photos of your giant star ornaments when they're finished, please! *grins*

Finished two previously started motifs + 1 brand new motif for the peppermint blanket! Alas, the motifs are taking longer than I thought they would, so I might have to aim for just two motifs a day. That will still get it done before Christmas, though!

I also made dinner. I'm not the family cook, so it's rare that I prepare the evening meal, but the meatball dish was requested and that's one of my recipes, so yeah.

Well done for getting as much done as you did. Two a day would still be excellent, and maybe there might be the occasional day when you manage more, especially if you're not cooking. Good luck anyway, hope you get it done my Christmas!
