Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Everything is a bit chaotic tonight because Strictly is on a day early this week, possibly something to do with football, I wouldn't know. Whatever, there's only half an hour between an extended edition of It Takes Two, and the Musicals Week show, so EEEP!


Anyway, I managed to attach 8 more ears, so that's another 4 meeces ready for the next stage, and 4 left to do. With luck I can do those tomorrow...

Honestly, I don't watch a lot, most days just one show, I'm not a big TV watcher. But it was the Strictly Come Dancing quarter finals, making it an even bigger deal than usual, and the behind the scenes show Strictly It Takes Two, with all the interviews and other things, was an hour long tonight instead of the usual 30 minutes, so I had two hour-long shows with a half hour break in between. Made for a bit of a juggling act. Worth it though, the dancing was amazing.

I like having certain shows run as background noise when I'm sewing or doing something similar. Mostly German ones, to keep my vocabulary alive. They aren't showing any sci-fi in these days, so there is no need to actually *watch* what's running. Unless it is the GBBO, of course. Or Kirstie Allsopp's Crafty Christmas. Or The Repair Shop.

I prefer quiet for writing, or if I'm crafting, some background music rather than TV. Sometimes I'll put a DVD on. I sometimes catch The Repair Shop but I haven't seen it in a while.

Then I have to attach brooch backs, do meece tails, and finally stitch the faces so there's still quite a lot to do.

It seriously was! I was wowed by every single dance!

I finished the surprise packages for the fair. Basically, they are toilet rolls, covered with Christmas-themed wrapping paper, and both ends knicked in, so that they'd form small boxes. There are little thing inside, like those tiny Harry Potter figurines they gave one at the supermarkets after having bought stuff for above a certain amount of money. Those packages are the ones with a very small budget, as I'll sell them for the equivalent of roughly 1 Eurocent. The kids always like these things (especially those who can't afford the price-y ones), and the packages turned out rather pretty, if I say so myself.

Later on I finished the two pencil holders for the fair. I think they are very pretty. I hope potential customers will think the same. I'll try to take some acceptable photos tomorrow, assuming the sun deigns to show its face.

It's great that you have things the kids with the least money can still afford. Looking forward to seeing the pencil holders if you manage to get a photo.

So do I. I regularly document my crafting on Pinterest, so it would be important.

I wish I had thought of taking photos when I was up to my ears in paper embroidery. I've made and given away dozens upon dozens of embroidered cards, but for quite some time the thought of photographing them didn't occur to me.

First few cards with the peppermint hearts went out today. I'm going to do 3 or so at a time so they don't consume a whole morning. The ornaments are sewed on a blank card with clear plastic thread.

The painting in the stairs is much closer to done. I finished the main wall color coats and did a first coat on the trim. I am not sure if I can just touch places up or if I have to do a full second coat.

I've also done that with bookmarks to be the front of a birthday card.

My husband has really committed! He's learned to do so many things. I'm mostly on the cosmetic and cleaning end.

I had three projects lined up and then they announced a challenge for a project one of my faves just did, oops. I had something vaguely in mind and then I saw this fabric and now I'm SUPER PSYCHED. I'm going to stitch this little dude onto it.
