Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Today, I checked my lolly stick ornaments to see if any of them has lost some appliqué or else the glue had dried out in all the time since last Christmas. Then I packed together the Christmas cards, the felt ornaments, the tinfoil garlands and all other stuff I intend to sell on the fair. I unexpectedly found some tin cans that can be turned into pencil holders, which I'll do posthaste, to add them to my offerings. Then I'll have to wrap the surprise packets (for those with a very small budget), and I'll be basically done.

I also used some very pretty (and sturdy) wrapping paper and some double-sided tape to turn an old and battered shoe box into a very pretty Christmas gift box, which I'll use to present the tinfoil garlands (the box itself) and the Christmas cards (the lid of the box), respectively. It is important to present your wares in a pleasing manner if you want to make good sells. Which I hope I will. It is, after all, for charity.

Sounds like you're nearly ready! Good luck!

Thanks. I'm a bit worried about the close quarters we have during these fairs, but I'll be wearing a mask and take my bottle of hand sanitizer with me and hope the kids won't have any nasty bug that I might bring home for Mum. *fingers crossed* It isn't just Covid I have to worry about, after all. At nearly 91 years of age she is more vulnerable than I am.

I hope so, considering the risk I take. I so love our fairs, but with all those kids surrounding us... Ah, well, one can't live in constant fear.

It's not myself I'm worried about; I'm afraid to bring something home to Mum! But I'll be wearing a mask and take my hand sanitizer with me... and prey.

I finished the last peppermint heart and wove in the ends on any that needed it. There are now 12. Maybe tomorrow I will block them and start assembling the cards.

I'm pondering -- on my front porch are hooks to hang decorations on the wall. I'm considering making an ornament/motif/something HUGE and hanging it there. Maybe stretched on a hula hoop???

Congrats on finishing the peppermint hearts!

One more block, and I fixed a bag my sister brought home to fix (but won't get around to fixing for weeks, if not months).

She made an excited shriek at the sight of it, right when I wasn't expecting it. So I'll take that as good!

I've cast off the scarf! Still need to weave in the ends and block but my brain just wanted to be done for the day.
