Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

've decorated my chocolate-pecan-banana-walnut cookies today. Last year I tried to colour them green and they ended up looking like frogs, so I thought I'd make them frogs this time. Only that now I wanted them look like frogs... they didn't. Typical. But they ended up looking very funny, like little monsters, so I decided that they are, in fact, tree gnomes that tend to live in pine trees, hence the colour and the bumpy surface. For camouflage, of course.

Are they cute or are they cute? I think the kids will love them.

No other crafting was done, but my fingers are slowly recovering, so...

I finished my last project and started prepping them all to be finished & hooped, so five projects are all washed and ironed and drying overnight. Tomorrow I'll iron them again and over the next couple of days put them in their hoops with all the finishing work on the back. One got a little banged around when I was washing it, but hopefully it's fixable.

In-laws decided they are coming tomorrow morning instead of now (I originally thought they would be here about an hour ago). I've been having a cup of hot chocolate and made another of the heart ornaments.

Food will be fine - though if my husband thinks I'm saving all the rolls for tomorrow he's nuts. I'm having one when they come out of the oven.

I don't blame you. Fresh, warm rolls are delicious.

It's not very helpful of guests to change the day they're visiting at the last minute though.

Cross stitching during game night; took a break from the Mushroom Dragon, and I'm back to my Litha Tea Pot one. It's much smaller, I might even finish it someday!

Variety is the spice of life! It's good having several projects to switch between.

Today I put on the Curiosity Stream to start some documentaries and worked on a cross stitch book mark! No photos yet, but it's coming along. I organized my thread so I could manage to do something close to the colors/scheme I'm supposed to be using -- the pattern is books on a shelf and each book is made up of a three gradient color. It's...interesting. I like the effect but ugh.

Made two Old Maid's Puzzle blocks, finished the hem of a shirt I've been intending to do for ages.

One more Old Maid's Puzzle block to go, then add it to a 3x3 block quilt top that I have.

I attempted Xandy Peters' Oak Leaf today. It didn't go too well, alas, but I did end up with something resembling a leaf, though not perfectly symmetrical, oh well.

Otherwise, haven't been doing much crafting lately. I'm feeling like I need to get back to it though. The month is almost over and I still have to do at least one more thing for Nerdopolis, maybe two, plus that blanket isn't going to crochet itself! But I just haven't really been in the mood.

No good forcing yourself to craft if the mood isn't there. You'll just wind up frustrated and not enjoy it.

The oak leaf looks cute, and real leaves aren't always symmetrical anyway so if yours is a bit wonky it shouldn't matter =)

Good luck with making progress on the blanket when you get back to it, and whatever you do for Nerdopolis.
