Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Amazingly, I have managed to sew up and stuff the last three mini meeces! I say amazingly because the last two weren't striped with black and for some reason I sewed both of them up wrong on the first attempt and had to try again. I didn't have that trouble with any of the twenty-five black striped meeces *headdesk* I just mismatched the stripes on both of the last two meeces, for some unknown reason.

Making some more mini meece brooches. I made some for Halloween to go with the regular meeces, but decided to try attaching brooch backs to smaller versions - same pattern, just thinner yarn and smaller needles. They went down well so I decided to make a few more ready for next year.

Glad to hear the meeces are still in favour with Enting!

Oh, the brooch idea sounds fun! I sometimes toy with the idea of embroidered brooches but have never tried it.

It's good to have got that far. Next I have to get the right ears on the right meeces. Some of the colours are similar so I'll need good light to match them up.

I have, over the last few years, bemoaned that I lack a appropriate yarns in my stash to knit myself a jumper. But I didn't want to buy more yarn, because I have (literally) bins upon bins of sock/shawl yarn. Of course, this winter in the UK, what with the energy crisis, jumpers are the new black.

Yesterday, I became aware of a Black Friday sale at World of Wool.

Also yesterday, a quantity of yarn appropriate to making several me-sized jumpers (I'm rather petite) is being shipped my direction.

I also am petite and find 500g of yarn, or occasionally 600g if I want something longer, is quite sufficient for a me-sized sweater. What colours did you pick? And have you chosen any patterns yet? Looking forward to seeing what you make for yourself.

I went with variations on greens, teal, and a purple, which is basically my personal color scheme. I try to do neutral (ie black/denim) on my basic wardrobe for the most part because I have wildly colored hair (see colors mentioned above) but I can't bring myself to want to knit a black jumper!

A basic jumper for me in dk or aran yarn can be done in about 600-800 yards in my experience. I haven't picked any patterns yet, but I have a million saved on Ravelry, and I'll probably go fairly simple and familiar. The Equinox raglan (with extended sleeves) is a favorite of mine, I've knit a couple over the years. And I wouldn't mind having another Owls jumper.

Can't say I blame you for not wanting to knit in black. I have two part made black jumpers but they're such a pain to work on I don't know if I'll ever get them finished.

I love that owl jumper, so cute! I'm a big owl fan. =)

I've taken a crafting break to allow my fingertips to recover from all that Velcro work (still 4 pieces to sew on, sigh). Instead, I started the Christmas baking.

I've been snowed under with trying to keep up with regular chores due to various family visits. In-laws come tomorrow. The bright part is the kitchen is pretty sparkling at the moment.

Yes, I'm dragging this morning but all food is either done or just waiting (frozen rolls need to defrost and rise).

Husband thinks we don't have enough food. It's 5 people. Dude.
