Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The weather was much nicer today, sunny and bright, and I managed to get four more mini meece bodies sewn up and stuffed. That just leaves three more, and after that I'll be attaching ears. I hope. *fingers crossed* Of course, tomorrow is Saturday, which means Strictly Come Dancing, so whether or not I'll get the last three sewn up is anybody's guess.

I'm getting there slowly. Wish I could get more done each day, but the lack of decent natural light is a problem at this time of year.

I've made a big step towards finishing the back cover of Dani's quiet book. I still have 4 pieces of Velcro to sew on, but everything else is done, so I took a photo, since you can't see on it that the dratted Velcro is still just glued on, not sewn on yet.

I think I'll need to fix the teddy noses with super glue, so that the kid can't remove and - God beware - swallow them, but otherwise I'm fairly content. The recycled zipper (the brand new ones I had on stock were too short) is a bit wavy, so operating it will require some skill, but that's what these books are for: to help develop skills. Both the teddy heads and the bowties are removable and can be recombined due to the Velcro, so I think the little one will have his fun with them.

They've been lying around in my felt appliqué box for years, literally. Now they found their proper place at last.

Yes, it's a great opportunity to try things out, especially where you need lots of little bits, which wouldn't be worth getting at home.

I think I'm about halfway on my latest piece. I have all the words (song lyrics) "written" across, and now the plan is to turn it 90 degrees and write another lyric across the top of those. The trick is to make sure that all the words are legible. meep.
