Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Still no crafting achieved, mainly due to wrangling logs, and spending a lot of time writing a challenge fic that came in just short of 1.5k. Still, there's always tomorrow...

Well, not too many more logs to dry, so that's something.

Writing went well because I knew what I wanted to write for the challenge. It's not often that happens!

It can be hard to juggle both, can't it? I've been writing every day for over 10 years, so I always do that first then run out of time *sigh*

Only a couple more loads of logs to dry out now, and they're not as wet as they were thanks to being under cover.

I finished the fourth draft of this novel this evening, and had time for a couple more rows on the scarf afterwards!

Behold the helicopter with the toothache! Can helicopters have a toothache? In a children's tale most likely. In any case, here it is:



Alas, I am a rubbish photographer and even more rubbish at editing, so I managed to cut off the hedgehog's legs while doctoring the photo. But I swear it has legs! The rotors of the heli can be turned, the sun, the hedgehog and the rabbit can be removed and replaced. The oak leaves that serve as bushes aren't sewn on, just their bottom part, so the animals can hide behind them. Same with the sun and the clouds.

I've also made the last two Christmas card and am up to the proud number of 60 now. I think I'll stop there.

I must confess that the hedgehog and the rabbit are ready-made appliqués, but the sun was made free-hand by me.

I was a bit worried about making the page too crowded, but I simply couldn't resist adding the rabbit, too. Only the hedgehog was originally planned.

I revamped the project that was causing me so much stress yesterday and I like the new version much much better.
