Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I've made three more Christmas cards today, nearly finished the red helicopter page and worked a bit on the tinfoil garlands. Two more cards and one garland to finish, and I'll be set for the Christmas fair, which ought to be take place on December 8 - unless Covid torpedoes it. Let's hope for the best.

Thanks. We've missed it for the last two years, so I hope we can have it this year. Some of the kids would see it for the first time!

I hope so. I also hope we won't get any germs due to close quarters. But some things are worth a bit of risk. I'll be wearing a mask, in any case.

Yeah, I know the feeling re: economising. And that's just one of the depressing aspects of current times.
At least you got your writing done. That's something I'd like to do, too.

It was dreary up here, too. I'm also trying to keep the electricity off as much as possible - finally caved and turned the heater on just in the morning so getting out of bed sucks less, but trading off sitting in the dark a bit longer.

I actually happen to have an abundance of candles and candelabra so I'm going 18th century XD

I started my project that I was so excited for and now I think it's terrible. I can't tell if that's just brainweasels or if it's actually a bad idea, SIGH.

Brainweasels is a new term to me but it's a great one. I vote it's brainweasels!

The brainweasels are cruel. I hope sleeping on it helps clear things up ♥

Only a little painting and craft the last week while we navigated some scheduled brain surgery in the family. It was very successful and in the down time I did manage to finish another coat of red on the shrines and get the Xmas tree up!
