Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I got 2 mini pumpkins knitted last night. Might try to do another tonight during the results show.


Other than that, I've been focussed on getting logs dry. Tomorrow's forecast is for heavy rain so I moved some of the logs from the greenhouse to the empty old rabbit hutch. That way I can get at them without going out in the rain and bring then indoors for drying when I put the next dried lot out in the top hutch.

Thanks. I've got almost half of them dry, I think, but I'm onto the bigger ones now and they take longer.

Heating appears to be a complicated business in your house. How is the ankle doing?

The mini pumpkins are multiplying, too, I see. And that under such circumstances!

It's weird to think I'm using the heating to dry out the things I need to burn for heating...

Didn't get another pumpkin done today, I just wasn't in the mood. I really ned to sew up and finish all the mini meeces and the pumpkins I've already knitted, but the daylight is gone every day before I get around to it. I hate this time of year. So little daylight.

The ankle is doing better.

My excitement last night was having a friend walk me through crochet and jamming it well enough into my head that I still remembered it this morning! I can do chain and single crochet and I'm just going to stick with that until I feel competent at it. I started a blanket this morning and the yarn BROKE but it's still good practice.

Crocheting is something I'd like to learn, too, but I'm not optimistic about it happening.

Yay! That's great that you remembered overnight!

Annoying that the yarn broke though. Some yarns seem so fragile.

I worked a bit on the red helicopter page, finishing the helicopter itself (save for a tiny detail) and putting together the background design. Unfortunately, the helicopter looks as if it had a toothache (getting a smile right on felt isn't easy), and some other details aren't how I'd have liked them, but they will have to do.

Poor helicopter! I'm sure no one else will notice though. Still great progress!

Meant to work on a new cross stitch project; painted this instead. A friend had carved it for Halloween and asked if I wanted it after.

Sewed together 3/4 of a quilt on Saturday evening.

Did another two blocks this morning. Two more and that's all the blocks for this quilt. Sew 5 blocks into a row, add to the other 3/4 of the quilt and that's another top done.

Yes, postage stamp. But still have a LOAD of strips more, so it won't stop just because the quilt is finished!
