Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I had hoped to sew up a few meeces today, but things have not been going my way. I spent the best part of an hour working on a triple drabble and I was pleased with the result. Then, instead of saving it, I accidentally deleted it =(


I scrambled to rewrite it, and now I have a triple drabble with some similarities, but it's not the same and I know it's not as good as what I originally had. I am so annoyed with myself.


Re-writing used up all the time I would have spent on the mini meeces, so no crafting got done. I might knit a couple of mini pumpkins while Strictly is on, but it's Blackpool week so I might just watch.

Oh, that is so annoying! I do write everything by hand first, but then tend to put away the notebook to some *safe* place - and then forget what that place was and have to turn the room upside down to find it; sometimes I even fail. So yeah, I can feel your pain. *hugs*

At least you know you can find yours again eventually. Mine is just gone, no retrieval possible, which is just sickening.

It was such a stupid mistake to make. I mistook which document I was closing and clicked don't save. Entirely my own fault, but so upsetting =(

I worked a little bit on the red helicopter page; namely putting together the body of the helicopter itself, but little else. We had visit from within the family, for the first time since January, and I spent the morning (my usual crafting/writing time) with baking.

This was today's product: Sablés Bretons (Bretonisch Butterkekse for the Germans among us), as well as Financiers, with almonds, chopped pistachios and chocolate chips.



Regardless of the missed crafting/writing, though, we had a lovely time, so I don't really mind it.

The cookies were delicious indeed; there are only a handful of them left. I hope to finish the helicopter tomorrow, as the beginning of next week promises a bit busy, but we'll see.

Freshly baked cookies are hard to resist. I'm surprised there are any left at all!

There's no mad rush to finish the book, is there? You'll get it done.

The book is due to be finished by February, when Dani turns 2. However, I'd like to get done with the parts I know how what supposed to look like, so that I'll have enough time to think about the design of the rest. I know there will be a deep sea page with a submarine and the back cover will have a pocket with a zipper, but there are still two more pages that need serious research.

Got a bit of knitting done this morning while watching a Zoom lecture. I think I've decided I want it just a bit longer so I'm still going for now but am still zeroing in on the end.
