Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I am still pouting about waiting for my stuff, but in the meantime am pondering exactly what my design will look like! so it's kinda fun and kinda frustrating, like so much about crafting.

I have successfully sewn up 5 mini meece bodies! There are 27 to do altogether, including the pair I'm keeping for myself, so still a long way to go, but I've made a start.

Also finished knitting the mini pumpkin I started yesterday, which has used up the rest of the first ball of yarn. I have 9 of those waiting to be sewn up, although I need to knit the stalks for them first.

Those pumpkins sound complicated - or is it just so that I'm completely clueless? ;)

They're actually quite simple. Cast on 15, increase in every stitch to 30 stitched, 18 rows of stocking stitch, knit 2 stitches together all the way across so there's 15 stitches left, and that's it. But there needs to be a green stalk sewn into the top and that's best sewn in before sewing up the side seam, so I need to knit 9 stalks, which are even easier than the pumpkins.

I was crafty today, although not necessarily in the manner as originally planned.

The plan had been to cut out all necessary parts to the red helicopter page and later, assuming I'll have enough time, to the sailing ship page as well. Instead, I ended up with making the page base for the sailing ship, sewn on the ship itself, adding some background details, and almost finishing the whole thing. Only some details on the sails are left, but I can hope to get that done tomorrow.

I did select the various felts for the red helicopter page, but cutting out the sailing ship promised to be easier. In fact, it was easier. And from there on I just went with the whole thing. Ah, well, the helicopter will get its chance, too. Eventually. When my fingers have recovered from the Velcro work. *g*

Excellent! It may not have been the page you expected to do the most on but it sounds like you made a lot of progress. The helicopter can wait a little longer.

ooh, I haven't worked with Velcro, but I can only imagine!

Yep it can be brutal, especially if you have a lot of Velcro work in a project. Fortunately, this page didn't require too much.

Haven't been working on the scarf in favour of writing lately, but today I got some work done on the scarf! I probably need to see about ordering yarn for the slippers soon.

Just on the off chance anyone has a lead, I was considering making a Hellfire Club jumper - anyone know where I might find a pattern? I haven't had much luck and I assume I'm going to need to figure it out myself, but I thought it worth asking!

I don't know of any patterns for such a thing, sadly. Googling it, I'd say knitting one would be pretty ambitious. Looks like someone's crocheted one though, which would probably be even harder.

Ambitious for sure! I do have a cross-stitch pattern for it so I could maaaaybe finagle that? But I also see embroidery patterns for it so that might be slightly easier, haha.

Trouble is that knitting stitches aren't square so the design will end up being elongated if you use the cross-stitch chart. I've charted designs myself and had to take that into consideration since graph paper always uses squares. It depends on much how like the original you want it to be. Anyway, something to be aware of.

Yeah I was looking at some other people who have put cross-stitch patterns on jumpers and that's what it seemed like :/ I think if I can't track down an actual knitting pattern I'll just embroider it on there.

That might be the easiest solution. I can't embroider to save my life, I always pull the thread too tight.

I sewed up two penny patch quilt blocks, sewed four layer cake squares (10" x 10") into more squares for a backing. Going to do a little each day up until Christmas.
