Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I haven't done any crafting at all today! Oh the horror!

I did get three mini pumpkins knitted last night, but I dropped a stitch on the third one and didn't notice until I'd done another 7 rows, so I had to grab my trusty crochet hook and get the stitch back in play. Can barely see where the mistake was, the stitches are just a bit tighter, so it'll be fine.

Some things are easy to fix, fortunately.

We all need a craft-less day from time to time. At least you could fix the pumpkin.

Some fixes are simple. It's stocking stitch (or stockinette), so running the missing stitch up to join its fellows was straightforward.

If you say so... Unfortunately, I haven't got a clue about these things.

I know, so just take it from me, it only took about 15 seconds to fix once I caught the stitch.

Thankfully, unless it's a complicated pattern dropped stitches are easily dealt with.

So far today, I:
* Downloaded two of my streams off Twitch
* Uploaded one stream to YouTube
* Knit another wedge on the elf cowl
* Knit another repeat on the other cowl

Will probably do more later, but right now I'm taking a video game break.

Tomorrow night on stream I'll be finishing my playthrough of Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, so I'm trying to decide what to stream next. Options are in my journal, here if anyone wants to give their input!

Yesterday I blocked the sand dollar doily and the peppermint hearts I've made so far. The hearts need to be firmer so I put some liquid starch on tomorrow's grocery order.

Today was consumed with getting rid of a desk and the unused cement steps in the yard. I took photos, posted them on Facebook for free, and had takers quickly. The desk just left, the stairs were taken about noon. I had to move some other furniture around to get the desk from my bedroom to the entryway. Tomorrow we can move my yarn storage dresser in though!

It's always good to get rid of things you no longer need. Yay for the yarn storage dresser moving in!

Yes. The desk was quite large and I didn't really use it anymore. Just a spot clutter fetched up.

And the cement steps were only ours by default - turns out the previous neighbor had dumped them over the property line when they built a new deck! What a jerk.

Christmas cards and a funny train

Today I made 4 more Christmas cards, so I'm up to the proud number of 50. The rest will come one or two at a time, as the bulk of the project is thankfully done.

And I've put the finishing touches to the Funny Train page of Dani's quiet book. Lookie, lookie:



The train can be moved by the string, and the sun is fixed with Velcro, so it can be removed and hidden behind the cloud.

Thanks. The buttons are a bit heavy - I should have used plastic ones - but all in all, the train works, so I'm not complaining.

They are to be sold on the charity fair, which we'll hopefully be able to hold this year. In the last two years Covid interfered, so we all keep our fingers crossed. It's for a good purpose, after all, and I've got a lot of stuff now - 3 years' worth of it, in fact - including felt items, folded 3D sparkly paper stars, popsickle Christmas ornaments... and, of course, the cards.

The old mother-of-pearl buttons from Grandma's duvet might be a bit too heavy, but they look great, don't they?

Very shiny! I love mother-of-pearl buttons. Plastic might weigh less but they lack style.

They do. Plus, I'm glad I found some good use for those buttons that have been waiting in a box for twenty-some years. Grandma would be proud.

Lots of painting done over the weekend on the medieval signs and just because I could, I make a new table top for the medieval trestle legs. Other than that, I've been packing for the next event. So busy but other nice books news which I'll catch up on.
