Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

8 new Christmas cards made. I'm up to 46; need to start taking group photos, soon.

Thanks. :) The process is likely to slow down, as I've used up nearly the entire pad of vintage Christmas paper I accidentally bought twice. Only a few sheets are left, but those aren't suitable for card making; too large patterns. I might use them later on for some Christmas journals as covers or whatnot. Not this year, though.

But I still have some small motifs cut out from older cards or chocolate wrappings, so a few more cards might still be in.

It's because I loathe to throw out pretty things. Even if they are only chocolate wrappings.;))

We really are two passionate old hoarders, aren't we? *g*

What good progress! :) My mother would be jealous; she also handmakes cards, but always ends up losing track of time and doing them in mid-December.

Do you have a target number?

No, I'm just using up my sulprus of scrapbook paper and scraps. However, they are supposed to be sold on the charity fair on December 8, so I needed to get them done early on.

Oh, I see! Good luck on finishing them for the fair :)

Turned the corner - literally - on my current sock, after having to redo the short row heel. By nature of how I do magic loop for socks, I end up knitting it inside out. The upside, however, is that purl side Kitchener (aka Finchley graft) is more intuitive for me when closing off the toe. Home stretch!

Thank you! It's the second, so hopefully I'll have the completed pair to show soon.

Since I can't knit, the above sounds to me like the technobabble of Star Trek. *g* Still, the sock looks great, so I assume that you are right with the technical parts and am envious of the cosy toes. ;))

Ooh, now I'm thinking of how fun Star Trek-themed socks would be. And thank you!
