Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

That's all I've done today aside from a bit of writing and chores because I had to visit the doc this morning.

What I ended up doing:
-finished painting, polyurethane, and stain on the large dresser. It is ready for my husband to put the drawer hardware back in (he had to fix one). So once we've had a chance to move furniture my yarn will have a place to go, other than a stack of totes.
-stripping paint and repainting - husband had covered up the giant hole left in the wall from a remodel decades ago and installed the light! I painted the first coat on the rest of the walls and the door. I had to get the door frame done on a day warm enough to leave the door open for hours.
Still more to do in the side steps area, but nothing that is now a rush. I like the color my husband picked for the door (hemlock green).

Love the door colour, a really rich deep green.

From what I gathered, my sister had just asked if I had anything appropriate already made, but mom volunteered my services to make something instead if I didn't have anything appropriate. School colors are navy blue and orange. I have no orange accessories, and the one navy blue hat I have is more of a man's style and is dark enough it looks black.
So, I ended up crocheting a hat today. On the one hand, my younger sister is VERY crochet-worthy. She is appreciative of everything I make, and is paying me for this, and I could certainly use some extra money. On the other hand, I'm irked that mom, once again, failed to consider that I might have plans of my own for the day. She does this because I don't work, so probably thinks I have nothing but free time. And technically I do, but even so, I do make plans to DO THINGS that I want to do.
Anyway, hat is done, sister saw a picture and likes it, and is picking it up in about an hour. Now, I play video games.

Mostly, I'm playing Final Fantasy XIV. The relic process (think very shiny weapons) dropped recently for the latest expansion, and I'm working on my second one for my main character. I hope to get it tonight.
I also need to do daily stuff in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (a mobile game). Also, I had been planning on playing Breath of the Wild; I started it about 2-3 weeks ago but haven't gotten far, because FFXIV keeps drawing me back. There's also A Short Hike which the
On top of all that, I've been streaming Final Fantasy VIII on Mondays and Thursdays. Last night we did most of the final dungeon, so next Monday we'll do the final bosses. Should be fun!
But yeah, I'm a big gamer! Though it's hard to pull away from an MMO and play other games...

Breath of the Wild is also very good! Unfortunately, despite dozens of hours, I have not finished my copy; I'm one of the few people I know who gets scared in Legend of Zelda games. It's kind of annoying, because I do enjoy playing them and would like to finish one someday. It is such a great game for ignoring the main quest and riding horses, though.
I mostly focus on mobile games like Fate/Grand Order, but lately I've been into Splatoon 3 and working my way through .hack//Infection on a PS2 emulator. The latter helps scratch that desire to play a dungeon crawler MMO, especially when finding other people to play is difficult.
