Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've taken new mugshots of the mini-meeces which have mostly come out better, but the two red and black meeces still look blurry. I tried photographing them by themselves, and the results were even worse. I also snapped a picture of some of the pumpkins, but that's not loaded on the computer yet, so I don't know how it came out.


The rest of my time was spent putting mini meece, pumpkins, and some more bookmarks into individual bags. Got to keep things from getting wet if Halloween turns out to be rainy. Then I cleared wet leaves off the driveway. What's the betting by Monday there'll be a massive pile of leaves there again? This is the third time I've cleared it in the last couple of weeks.

Oh there's certain to be an incomprehensibly large pile of leaves there on Monday!

Dratted leaves just keep falling over here, too. The rain makes all of them an ungodly muddy layer. *sigh*

Even though it hasn't been windy, I peeked over the hedge at the sidewalk expecting a giant pile. There was not today. Probably tomorrow. Good luck keeping things tidy!

Made some progress on the scarf, but I've got a lot of baking ahead of me for the next two days so I probably won't get back to it until November. Slowly but surely!

I started on Dani's transportation-themed quiet book. The front page will be basically the same as this one:



... just with different colours, hearts instead of flowers, and, of course, a different name. I've cut out all parts save the letters, and even sewn on the middle panel. Tomorrow there'll be Velcro work again, yay!

Dreamwidth is being weird for me, will see if I can make a post.

Worked on the doily I've restarted this morning for a little while.

It warmed up by noon, so I went back to cleaning in the stairs. Turned out to have gotten most of it yesterday, so I scrubbed a bit more then did a plain water wipe down and was pretty satisfied. I think tomorrow I will paint these areas. Still too soon to paint where I repaired the plaster.

getting a lot done away from the keyboard and will update with photos later tonight. On Friday, hinges arrived from Poland, and while they don't fit with a small chest (which had holes in the lid from hinges I took off and should have puttied up) I can use them for my Chest of Beauty which is in progress. Yesterday I painted over a mistake on the squirrel shield so it's ready for the next step. I put the red base coat on the next shield and gold around the edge, and got the first coat of paint on the metal bands on the bathhouse bath and painted inside it. Individual photos are still on my phone, but I'll do a heap of catch up posts with pics tonight when I finish the second coat of paint on the bath.

Wow, so busy! Shields, baths, chests... How do you find room for all your medieval accoutrements?
