Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I did spend some time putting split rings on a bunch of charms, so now my thumb hurts. Also made another 9 pendants! I'll have to photograph those as well, I'm quite pleased with the results.

Photos might not appear until after Halloween, still so much to sort out, but we'll see.

This is a seventh quiet book I'm about to make, and never have I hated a pattern as much as this one. It appears to be so easy, doesn't it? Well, appearances might be misleading. All those tiny little parts, those microscopic red dots that I had to stitch on by hand, all the Velcro work - God, I'm glad it's over. I'll set this project aside for a while, since it doesn't have to be finished by this year's Christmas, and will do something different. Usually, my quiet books have 4 leaves, which means 8 pages, 5 of which are finished, save for the edging, so I can afford to take my time figuring out the design for the last 3.
The colours of the picture are almost true; the actual background is the more purplish shade that can be seen on the bottom. The top has got too much light or whatnot; it isn't really red.

I also had to tear my room up a bit looking for more of the yarn I'm using for the body. I found it, thankfully! Didn't want to have to buy more as my finances are tight. Now, if only I could find my bottle of glue. I want to do a paper quilling project for Nerdopolis but the glue is hiding...

Crafting items like to hide, I swear. I know I'm missing some of the beads I was using the last time I made pendants, but no idea where I put them.

Then this afternoon I planted tulip, hyacinth, and crocus. There were just a few tulips, but 40 each of the others.

I've never seen an orange hyacinth, so I hope you'll take a picture when they flower!
