Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

5 more need brooch backs, including one I'm keeping for myself, the same 5 need tails, and 20 need faces. Hopefully I'll have them done in time.

5 of the 12 cupcakes for the counting page of the Christmas-themed quiet book are done. 7 more to go, which means 14 pieces of Velcro and 63 dots to be hand-stitched - I've eschewed the beads because I don't see how could I have sewn on 12 of them on a piece of felt as small as my thumbprint. Granted, I do have a wide thumb, but still...

Anyway, I can't wait to have this particular page out of my hair. TBH, I find working on it increasingly boring, but I don't want to start something else until it is finished. Well... save for the tinfoil bead garlands, but that's something quick and easy and relaxing.

I've spent the weekend doing various bits of crafting. I finished off two more Christmas cards, the angel's wings are knitted and have sequins attached, the second cardi sleeve is progressing past the waves onto some seaweed, and the knitted penguin has the body stitched and stuffed.

Today was devoted to gardening, as expected. I planted the iris (so many!) and moved the oregano, thyme, and sage into the new-to-me giant barrel pots. A little storm band came through while I was finishing up. Thunder, sunshine, and sprinkles of rain all at once. Lovely. Hoping for more rain tonight and tomorrow.

Yay for rain, I know you need it. It's pouring down here at the moment. It did stop for a while this afternoon, but now it's at it again *sigh*

Husband saw them at a thrift store for $3 each! They needed a little work but went back together well.

Very dry here. So the little bit of rain smelled amazing.

More done on the tapestry. Progress hampered by both needing to go visit family in order to have a shower etc (leak in my bathroom earlier in the week has the shower out of use) and by the fact I decided to do my nails - so had to wait for them to dry before I could do anything else. Nothing fancy just a shade of purple.
