Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another very wet day which was mostly spent working on my spook_me fic (now over 12k). I did manage to stitch the faces on 10 mini meece, but it was difficult. In future I'll be doing that in daylight, the artificial lighting isn't bright enough.


I had hoped the other brooch backs would have arrived today, but sadly they didn't.

Today I did graphical design in GIMP, which I am not great at. But I managed to make a new banner for my Twitter bio and my relatively new Ko-Fi page (here: https://ko-fi.com/altheavalara). I also uploaded some of my knitting patterns to sell on my Ko-Fi page.

Yesterday was Stitch Club, where I had fun talking to one of the newer members, and delighted in that at least three people asked "hey, how is $PROJECT going?". It feels good to be known! I also worked on my Peppermint Swirl blanket while there, and got a motif done.

Also yesterday, I finished another crocheted basket and submitted it to a Nerdopolis challenge.

Now I am going to figure out how to make thumbnails for YouTube videos. I want to start uploading my Twitch streams to YouTube. OH! And Twitch has been going really well lately! I had 11 unique viewers on last night's stream, and I'm so happy about it.

After I figure out the YouTube videos I'm going to do another motif for the Peppermint blanket. All in all, a busy but productive day here.

Well done with setting up your Ko-Fi page, it looks great, and good luck figuring out the YouTube videos.

How many more motifs do you need for your blanket?

The 30 small motifs are done. You need to make 42 large motifs with, um, 5 or 6 different edgings? I forget. Edging 1 needs 10 motifs and I've got 7 or 8 done. I also did 1 of Edging 2. So still quite a ways to go but if I do a motif a day I should finish in time.

Fantastic work! Friends at work stream and twitch but I haven't gone down that road. Well done on your new viewers. Very exciting for you! I hope it goes really well. Digital stuff really is a huge amount of fun.

I'm only now settling down to crochet a little. Mostly today has been chores, though I did lose my mind this morning and rearrange a couple pieces of furniture in the living room.

I also tested drying some thyme in the oven.

I think I cooked it a little too long. The grocery in our neighborhood gets restaurant supply overstocks and husband had brought home an entire POUND of thyme for a dollar. I have plenty to test with! I will have him grab other herbs as he sees them and I'll have notes on how this stove dries them + really be stocked up.

Spent hours today making new pages for the Re-enactment group website because things are happening and I need to put a best foot forward when paperwork goes in for things soonish. Hopefully tomorrow, sewing and buttonholes and perhaps finishing the five new pages. The framework is done and one page is complete. Still lots to do.
