Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Same as yesterday and the day before — 10 more brooch backs attached, 10 more tails in place, more work on the hedge... That is at least not actually touching the house anymore, but there's still an awful lot needing to be done. When I'll get back to it I have no idea, because we have rain forecast for the next two weeks, including Halloween, much to my annoyance =(

I feel you on the rain disappointment. We're going away for a few days and it's meant to rain the entire time we're there, I'm so bummed :(

Up to Scotland for a few days! So I suppose I can't say the rain wasn't expected, but I had hoped, haha XD

Have a great time! The only time I was ever in Scotland, on a day trip to Edinburgh when I was on holiday with my parents in Northumberland, it poured with rain the entire day so we didn't see much of anything. I wish you better luck!

The trouble us, I'd be working underneath a dripping wet hedge, showering water down on myself every time I cut a bit off, and I don't fancy that at all.

Well done on all your magnificent progress with the hedge and the meece. Sorry to hear about the forecast rain, but hopefully... maybe at least for Hallowe'en - there's still chance for that to be nice.

I was lucky it didn't rain while I was out today getting the rest of my Halloween candy - no chocolate eyeballs though, woe is me! =(

Probably won't get any meece work done today, but I've ordered more brooch backs. I got complimented on the meece I was wearing today =)

Keeping my fingers crossed that the rain won't end up spoiling Halloween.

Right, I've made a note and I'll rescue the package from my bag. I might have to get someone else to post it as I don't know when I'll get out again. Don't want your meece left out in the rain though! That would be bad.

Since the mini is still in cooperative mode, I thought I'd take a group photo of the X-mas themed quiet book pages I've made lately. Granted, they aren't edged yet, but as I'm not sure yet, which one will be paired up with which other one, I can do the edging at the moment. I hope you'll enjoy them for now as they are; as soon as the final concept has taken shape, I'll make the edging and take new photos. *fingers crossed*

The little gift packs on the lower right can be opened and have small Christmas stickers in the inside.

I also worked a lot on the next Christmas-themed page, the one with the 12 cupcakes. I cut out all 12 tiny numbers, taped them on and started to sew the cupcake bases onto the page base. I only managed 2, but progress is progress, and since I don't have a deadline for this project, I can afford to take my time.

They're looking really great! I especially love the one with the animals, that's so different!

I agree. It was worth replacing the fluorescent stars with wildlife.

I'm still working on the tapestry when energy allows, often only getting one or two lengths of yarn done. Unfortunately I'm still fighting the lurgy so tired and not getting a lot done. I am back to work, but WFH as not sufficiently recovered to be considered fit for company (I do not want to risk passing this on!) I had to make another trip to see a GP yesterday as things are not improving enough - she was very thorough, very frightening in some of the things she suggested might be wrong and did emergency blood tests which I had to deliver to the hospital myself to ensure that there is nothing more serious going on. She has given some meds to hopefully help. Fingers crossed that things look up from here.

Poor you, really hope you'll be feeling better soon. Flu does linger sometimes, but with luck the meds will help.

Kudos for battling on with the tapestry as well as work. Sensible to work from home to avoid infecting anyone. Rest as much as you can, drink plenty, and keep warm *hugs*
