Next I need to decide which way around the brooch backs should be attached — downwards from nose to tail, or sideways... *ponders*

Today I started a house project. I'd been waiting for it to cool off enough so I could plaster, and it kept being hot. Now is the time! My predecessor had put some scotch tape to stop the plaster from falling down. HA! I sanded a bit on the walls checking for other bad spots (just a little here and there) and then knockd all of that down.



Plaster, closing up the weird gap, painting, taking gross old carpet off the steps and painting those, handrail, AND a light. Coming soon. These steps go out to Lucy's fenced area and turn the corner to go to the basement.

That looks like quite a big job! But it sounds like you have a solid plan of action. Good luck!

I can't paint the new plaster for at least 3 weeks, so I'll bounce back to the flowerbed and I also have a piece of furniture to work on.

Yes, you do need to let the plaster dry thoroughly before painting, but I'm sure it will look great when it's all done. What colour are you going to use?

The walls will be "cloud motif" which is white with a blue-gray tinge (I have that on the laundry ceiling). Getting dark green for the door.

That should give it a lighter, airier look =)

That is a serious project. I'd hide in fear if I had to do anything like that!

It just needs the finishing details, and I am as usual struggling mightily with even the small bits of facial features I do as well as hands. gah.
