Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I've successfully eared another 10 meeces, leaving 10 to go on thus stage of proceedings. Also knitted a pumpkin, and spent half an hour outside trying to make a start on the hedge that's between my house and my neighbour's driveway. It hasn't been cut this year and is blocking the path completely. Cutting it back is going to take weeks.

The hedge sounds daunting! Well done on the pumpkin and eared meeces.

It is, it's very tall, and the path was only narrow anyway so now the hedge blocks it completely. It's going to take serious work.

Thanks. The pumpkin still needs to be sewn up and finished off, but the main part is done.

Haven't had the chance to do anything to the hedge today, I had laundry to do instead. Maybe tomorrow...

Mostly a rest day. Tomorrow will be much warmer so the dog's bath was postponed. I may not work on the doily today (we will see now that I've had dinner).

My main occupation this afternoon has been to browse for thermal curtains. My bedroom windows are reglazed, but they are large old windows. They are tall, and I have plant stands in front of them, so this then turned into looking at smarthome curtain openers. Ha! I will get an extra cheap grabber stick.

It can be fun to browse for things.

Hope the dog at least tolerates her bath tomorrow.

Luckily she just freezes and pouts, doesn't try to escape.

One day - curtain robots. Maybe. If they stop being so expensive and have better reviews. Setting them to open at sunrise would be lovely.

Good luck with finding the right curtains (and curtain opener too). It's worth taking the time to research your options and come up with something that works and that you like.

Painting some groups of three dots all over a small red chest to match a manuscript. Better photos once the chest is all assembled.

They did love their groups of dots in medieval times! I seem to recall you doing dots on another project.

More work on the tapestry yesterday - I expect to both start on the actual dolphin today and wind up the first part of the tapestry on the frame a few centimetres today - must be making progress :)
