Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've sewn up and stuffed 10 meeces, leaving just 4 to do. Once they're done, I have to sew on the rest of the ears, sew on the brooch backs, twist and attach the tails, then stitch the faces. Can I gvet them all done in time for Halloween?

The dice tray is done! Even rolled a nat 20 on one of my test rolls :D Despite tracing on the tray itself the lining somehow ended up being cut too small, but rolling some dice in the tray I didn't have any trouble with it. There's still some paint-less gaps that I thought would be covered with the felt but eh. It's usable, it's pretty enough, and we play all our D&D games on Discord video chat so no one but me's gonna see it anyway. I'm delighted with it!

I've finally sewn on the little bells, so the Christmas quiet book page is finished. That's another thing out of my hair. Next week will be busy again, so that's good.

Worked in the north flowerbed a little picking up rocks. I was going to get out a crochet project out this afternoon, but then found out that the in-laws are coming tomorrow. So I did the picking up and cleaning scheduled for tomorrow instead. :/

Maybe I will feel up to crochet in a bit. It's only 3pm and I'm mostly finished.

I finished the medieval hand washing station! Still waiting for the bowl to arrive so I can make sure the base base is the right size to hald it, but sanding and staining after that! Really pleased with how it turned out.

Had a productive day! I am so proud. I used up the last of the yarn for my shawl so that's on hold, but it was two and a half rows, nearly three and a half. I also learned a crochet basket stitch to start a hand towel for a friend. First time using cotton yarn and I am finding it hard to work with. It just doesn't like to move as smoothly I think as the wool I'm used to.

Excellent! Hope you get the rest of your shawl yarn soon.

I find cotton yarn rather stiff to work with, it doesn't seem to have as much give in it as most wool and acrylic yarns, so I usually avoid it.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments regarding the poor craft fair turnout. I'm still uncertain if I want to try another, but mom seems eager - she handed me a newspaper clipping with an ad for one in December. So I'll likely email them, because hey, it doesn't hurt to ask! Just because I ask doesn't mean I have to commit.

Mom had made a throw-away comment during the craft fair when things weren't selling: "Maybe you should stop making things." I see her point as I have TOO MUCH STUFF I've made, but at this point in my life, crafting is a BIG part of my identity and I would miss it greatly if I gave it up. I'll find SOMETHING to do with my stuff. If I don't end up selling it, I can give it away.

Now that the fair is over, I feel eager to work on new projects. Nerdopolis also started up again this month, so that gives me an excuse to make things! For a "Deep Sea" challenge, I whipped up a crocheted manta ray today. Now I'm trying to find my smaller hooks so I can make this hot cocoa set, which will be for the "Second Breakfast" challenge.

Sorry to hear about your craft fair experience - I had a similar one a few years ago because there are only a few here, I let it put me off completely but hopefully you'll have more luck if you try again. Trying to find something to do with all of the things that I make is still a tricky problem that I'm never sure how to overcome.

Saturday I slept a lot and did a little bit of the tapestry, Sundy I slept less but did quite a lot of tapestry. Today I am WFH and hoping I can make it through the day (how can I still feel tired?!)
