Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I sewed up and stuffed 5 meeces, crocheted 2 pairs of ears, and knitted 3 bodies, so that's good.
Fixed the security issue by deleting my history I looked up the issue online and that's what was recommended. Seems to have worked.

Knitted bodies and no more tears
If only it were a bit more warm
And let's hope we don't get the storm

This afternoon I realized that where I left off on the basket last night was perfectly large enough, and then made the smaller one. They're 2 strands of worsted weight cotton with a G/4.25mm hook to make them firm. These are to hold things in the cubbies of my headboard. Smaller is for my glasses at night.
I picked up some more of the marble gravel from the north flowerbed today as well. Probably won't work on that for a couple days at least, I have appointments out in the world.

The stones aren't going anywhere, they'll still be there when you're done with all your appointments.
How is your dog?

My crafting mojo is still mostly missing, but I've done a lot of fair-adjacent stuff. Including calling the venue to ask, "uh, we were supposed to get more info and I haven't received any yet, what's going on?" See, they had online registration for the event and I registered VERY early on the first day, and it was obvious they were still working out the kinks from the registration form. So I panicked and thought that since I hadn't heard anything, perhaps my registration hadn't gone through. Finally got a hold of the person in charge today, who was VERY nice and reassuring and said that she's sending out the space information via email on Wednesday. I also confirmed that yes, I have a table not just a space, and chairs are included.
Also today, I chatted with folks at Square (the credit card processor) with questions on setting that up. I still have some steps to go, but I will finish that tomorrow. Also tomorrow, I have to call the state to inquire about how to handle taxes (I know most folks probably don't bother with taxes, but according to state laws you're supposed to collect taxes at fairs.)
Mom is stressing me out because SHE's stressing over how people are going to pay me. She keeps asking that question, and I keep answering the same: "Cash, Paypal, Zelle, or Credit Card via Square". I've got it covered! I wish she would chill, because she is NOT helping my anxiety.
Setup starts at 7:30am (fair opens at 9am). I am NOT looking forward to getting up so early. I usually sleep until 8:45-9am, so this will be a stretch for me, ugh.
I've got most of the supplies I need, but tomorrow sometime I want to go to an office supply store and see if I can find a pad of invoice paper. I also need to put the charms on the snowflakes, put care instruction tags on my shawls and a few more hats, decide on prices and make signs for them, and most of all, BREATHE.
Now I am going to listen to some good music and make a few snowflakes in hopes that it calms me down. I'm all a-jittery.

I had my sister's teenage twins from a seaside town come visit me in the city... for a week... so we did a lot of city things including a Xmas box challenge! (blog post pending) I'm behind with blogging and a billion things on the go, but one of the current projects I'm side-crafting is the upgrade of a 15th century kirtle and headpiece which used to belong to my sister but I bought from her. Blog pending, but the short version is I've unpicked a bunch of stuff and pinned and sewn up the back seam and got the side seam ready for a reinforcing strip, then eyelets.
I also took and bunch of photos for the medieval group and am editing those. Squirrel shield is progressing nicely.
Other family drama with absent sister of 15 years taking up a lot of time too. (For all the drama worthy of a soap opera, swing past my blog in a few hours and join the train wreck of wtf is WRONG with my family?)
