Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Early post tonight because of Strictly Come Dancing.

I checked the wallflowers this morning to make sure they came through yesterday's heavy rain okay. They look good, and I counted them — there are 41!

I've also crocheted 10 pairs of meece ears and knitted one body. There will be more knitted tonight, during the show.

Not that I can pay attention to the knitting when the actual dancing is happening... I think I knitted 4 meece in 2 hours, lol! Usually takes 10 minutes to knit one. I was annoyed though, I only had three votes to cast, and I wanted to vote for at least half the contestants. They're so good! I'm sure I had more votes last year.

I've finished the winter night themed quiet book page. I think it turned out really pretty. Now I have to demolish some more pillow cases for the small metal rings that serve as their buttons, for I'll need those for the Christmas tree page. Which means sewing real, more useful buttons on the pillow cases, which is gonna be tedious - but necessary.

Well done! Your pillows will be much better with regular buttons, and the metal rings will serve a better purpose.

Worked in the smaller flowerbed picking up rocks for a while this morning. There are no plants in this one. My aunt has a ton of lily of the valley, I might get some of those started here (on the north side of the porch).

I have supper in the oven and probably will work on the crochet basket this evening.

Oh, lilies of the valley! My Grandma loved them so much!

I like them but have never grown them. They can't escape this flowerbed (completely edged by sidewalk) so it would be a good spot.

Lily of the valley is wonderful. We used to have loads, but it's all died and gone, not sure what did it in.

The previous owner had a few inches of those white marble landscaping chips in both flowerbeds. It's been an ongoing process. I had not taken the time to remove them fully from this empty bed.

Some stones are needed for drainage, but sometimes it seems there's more stones than soil. I filled a bucket while weeding one section. Left the small pebbles but took out big ones, chunks of sandstone, pieces of brick...
