Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Having some wallflowers next spring will be lovely - and even if one or two don't make it, I'm sure most of them will - most things seem to happily grow in your garden!

That is still progress - and the prospect of wallflowers sounds lovely.

Ooo nice. Are they orange? I had to look them up because I realized we do not usually grow them here.

I hope the wallflowers survive! I bet they'll be lovely in the spring.

Hooray for more meeces!

For those not on my friends' list, here's my knitting and cross stitch for the month: September crafts

Aw, thank you!

A lot of progress. I love that mermaid. :D

Thank you very much.

I managed to work a bit on the quiet book page. The gift boxes are now finished, equipped with ribbons and bows and a decorative bead each, plus the Christmas-themed stickers inside. They can also be removed and rearranged (yay, Velcro work), and all in all look really good. The page is nearly done, I just have to sew on the Velcro for the bell and the gingerbread man that will serve as additional decoration, but that will be done tomorrow. My fingertips were seriously protesting. *g*

I'm trying not to.
Thursday, September 29th, 2022 08:21 pm (UTC)
That all sounds very lovely!
Thursday, September 29th, 2022 08:59 pm (UTC)
Ahhh velcro returns.
Thursday, September 29th, 2022 10:24 pm (UTC)
The bane of my existence, yeah.
Friday, September 30th, 2022 06:32 am (UTC)
I hope your fingertips aren't too hurt!

The dog is more comfortable and napped a lot today, I left her to sleep and worked in the flowerbed. I finished digging new soil into the main flowerbed finally! Moved a big handful of grape hyacinth bulbs into the area of the front yard that has the fire hydrant to spread.

Tonight I'm going to work on making a rectangular crochet basket to go in my headboard shelf. Everything I try to keep in the cubbies falls out if I don't have a basket.

That sounds like a very practical project.

We will see how many times I forgot it while figuring out what I want.

She's still hurting some. I think tonight's problem is being stiff. Muscle and ligament injuries take ages.

Glad to hear the dog is doing better! The basket is a good idea.

Cut out a dress pattern - the Sicily slip dress - for sewing this weekend.

Might sew together a penny-patch block or two. Every year I say I need to start working through my scraps. EVERY YEAR FOR THE LAST DECADE FFS.
Friday, September 30th, 2022 03:54 am (UTC)
Yeah, scraps multiply the more you use them...
Friday, September 30th, 2022 11:27 am (UTC)
Issa mystery!
Friday, September 30th, 2022 01:08 am (UTC)
Good luck on the dress. I won't think about the things I've meant to do for a decade.
Friday, September 30th, 2022 03:54 am (UTC)
So many things! But the dress will make one less!
Friday, September 30th, 2022 06:34 am (UTC)
Best of luck with the dress!
