Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I did manage to get out in the garden for a while, battling more ivy. Made good progress.

This evening I knitted 7 meece bodies and I just finished crocheting 7 pairs of ears. They're a bit wonky but they'll be okay once they're attached. The mini meeces are probably going to be bigger than I wanted because I can't get at my 3-ply yarn. I don't have many colours anyway, just pastels, leftovers from knitting baby clothes many years ago. So instead I've been using some 4-ply and some coned machine knitting yarn on 2.25mm needles. The colours are good, but machine knitting yarn doesn't have any give to it and is horrible for crochet, which is why some of the ears are wonky. Sometimes you just have to make do with what you've got though. Now I need to look into getting some suitable safety pins.

I was very late posting so presumably everyone was offline or doing something more important. It happens.

Meece production is progressing quite well.

I was too late to comment yesterday, but I worked a bit on the background of the quiet book page. Sewing on dozens of tiny star-shaped sequins is slow and boring work, especially without the necessary TV background, so I didn't finish the job. There's always tomorrow... or so I thought. Only that today I took a two-hour nap instead of sewing - not voluntarily, mind you. I just fell asleep over a crossword puzzle. For two hours!

That sounds very fiddly, but you'll get there in the end.

Well, you must have needed the sleep. I should get an earlier night tonight; I didn't make it to bed last night until 1.30 this morning. Very naughty of me.

It happens to me frequently, too - and I always regret it afterwards. *sigh*
