Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Sending you as warming wishes as possible!

Oh gosh, good luck <333 I hope things turn out warmer than you expect. I'd probably end up buying a hooded sleeping bag and hopping around in it like an idiot at all hours of the day or something, yikes.

Echoing Hobbit's warm thoughts!

Steggy now has four legs and I began her spikes.

Yes, she won't need to hop now!

Thank you.

Hit about the third way point on the first colour in my rainbow shawl and I quite like it so far but dear god this is both my least favorite of the colours and this thing is also going to take a million years to knit D: already daydreaming about what to do next/instead so I think I'll be measuring progress on this one by how many hats/mittens/socks I also finished in the same timeframe.

Look forward to seeing pics of the shawl. Sounds pretty!

I made this two miniature felt carrots (per request from my five year old son).

Those carrots are brilliant!

Thank you! That Minisculus picked a vegetable (out of many possibilities) meant I had to do it! They are about twice as big as the cookie, which was tiny.

Thank you!

I'm working on scaling a few patterns. Hopefully, I'll start sewing Saturday!
Friday, January 8th, 2021 02:05 am (UTC)
Today I learned that's called scaling! :) Good luck, hope the patterns are cooperating.

Thanks! I sew for dolls so even if the patterns don't work out, it's not like they'll be outgrown anytime soon. :)

I'm actually working on the afghan. The other day I'd ripped out the first row of the border, because when I counted the sides were not consistent at all. I'm halfway around doing a consistent edging to be the foundation of a design.

I got all the way around. I feel like I was really nice and consistent. Will need to count, but even if I've made an error it's easy to add a stitch or two in a second round to even them up.

I managed two? Three? Rows on a new baby blanket yesterday. A lady I know mentioned she is expecting, so another baby blanket. Why not. Baby blankets are easy to work on during D&D.
