Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I also picked up a cross stitch book for a quid at a boot sale.

Great that you found a cross stitch book for such a low price. Enjoy!

In other news, I now have a new computer, 512GB which will hopefully be enough memory. Now I have to transfer all my files to it, which is going to take a while.

We have been getting a nice, steady rain most of the afternoon. It's fairly cool too - I got out an afghan and made a cup of tea, then looked at doily patterns for a while. I picked one called "sand dollar" to make for my little cousin's wedding and started it in cream.
The heart ornaments will be my palate cleanser between other projects all this fall.

Your garden will appreciate the rain.

After much frustration, I think I finally figured out how to purl stitch. The tutorial by Sheep & Stitch was extremely helpful.
After a few rows, I went back and practiced a few rows of knitting stitches to make sure I still remembered how. I am getting things confused as I go, but I seem to be doing okay. (I've got 2 sets of needles and 2 balls of yarn going, for the curious.)
While I had family in town, my niece and I put together the diy lava lamp kit her stepdad got her. That was fun.
I'm getting better at Instagram. I managed to put together a weekend recap in pictures.
I'm also very excited because the Halloween craft kits I ordered came in far quicker than expected.
