Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Now I need to get back to writing as I have a deadline looming and a long way to go on the fic for it.

It would help if I learned to count stitches :D But it was a learning lesson for my stitch work so I can't be too upset about it

You're learning, so it all helps, even the mistakes *cheers you on*

Now that that's done with, I can refocus and go back to my crafts. Today I finished another kerchief, and made 3 bookmarks. I'm about to sit down and do more crafting for about an hour. Unsure what exactly I'll do - maybe more bookmarks? - but I'll do something.
I do have slight guilt that I basically ignored my crafts for a week, but honestly, I probably needed the break. I know my hands/wrists appreciated it.

You're right, we all need to take breaks sometimes. Hands need to rest or do other things, and brains need a change of pace too so you can go back to crafting feeling enthusiastic about it again. It's supposed to be fun after all, not a chore.

Giving your hands/wrists a break is definitely a good thing, though.

Final Fantasy XIV is just celebrating its 9th anniversary, and the producer/director wants to keep it going for at least another 10 years. Which makes me happy because it's the best Final Fantasy I've ever played (and I've played all of the main series).

I'm enjoying having them here but absolutely exhausted, looking longingly at my knitting bag. They leave on Monday morning and I think we'll spend the whole day after they leave in bed!
