Check-In Post August 21st 2022

Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I went to the park today! This is a big deal because it's the third time I'd been outside since I got covid early last month. It was a big park in the city which required a trip on the bus and then a tram. Am Cream-crackered.

Putting off going upstairs to grab my knitting bag because I am simply too tired, but in a good way.

I was actually at the arboretum today but on Friday I was at the sausage and cider fest at Wollaton park!

So the epic battle with the brambles is taking place somewhere close by, I take it? What a small world!

CIDER FEST??? This sounds amazing. I had covid this summer too and was dragging for a bit.

Cider fest! It was amazing, not just because I got to go outside and drink cider without sulphites in it but because it was genuinely the first time I had been outside. They had a stage and a load of tribute bands playing until late. I had a very good time.

I have M.E. and MCAS already before Covid so it's been pretty rough. I'm pretty sure I'm on the mend now but I'm going to need rest a bit more sensible than I have been this weekend.

I hope you're feeling better now!

Ha, I have M.E. as well. I know what MCAS is and jeeeeeez. I'm glad you're well enough post-covid to do thing.

I have some lingering new muscle pain in my shoulders, which isn't too bad but very strange. For a while I thought it was just pulled muscles but by now it clearly isn't. I think it will probably go away eventually.

Ah, that's a shame. I'm usually somewhat of a recluse because of my own health issues but my husband charged my electric wheelchair out and dragged me around this weekend. I'm very glad he did even if it's going to take me some time to recover, the weather has been lovely.

We only just moved here a little under a year ago so I can't say how much anything has changed but the arboretum was very sunny and squirrelly today!

How funny. Earlier today I also realised that another member is someone whose website I've visited many times. I'm watching the rest of you to see who else turns up!

It is about 45 years since I was in Wollaton Park. I was at Nottingham uni!
