Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Working outside was really hard today. It was just so hot. I was managing 10minutes outside, then 5 minutes indoors to cool off. not staying in the greenhouse for more than a couple of minutes at a time. It got easier when there started being a few clouds for the sun to hide behind and there was a bit of a breeze. I think I've cleared most of the stuff that was in a position to get rained on through the gaps and broken panes. I moved a lot of boxes and bags, put more plant pots in the driveway although no one's taken what was already there, and filled another bag with rubbish.

Might get some more done outside tomorrow, the rains shouldn't arrive until evening, but if I don't I'll just have to hope for the best.

It was nearly 5.30 when I finally came in. Still a lot to do, but I've made very good progress.

My Three Kings felts

... are finally done.



Granted, they are a tad primitive, but I'm satisfied with the outcome. Now I'm onto the penguins. I was cutting out little penguin feet for an hour or so, and then I taped together the first 3 creche scenes... I won't be bored for a long time to come yet.

I think they've turned out really well! They look quite regal with all their fancy decorations =)

Over the weekend I got the reinforcing strips sewn on, 11 buttonholes done (one whole side!) and ten buttons sewn on. I made a few at work the other day, so half of them were done already, but feeling pretty happy about almost one sleeve done!

Wow, that's a lot of progress to have one sleeve almost finished already, especially when you have to make the buttons before you can attach them!

*runs in flailing* I am going to exhibit my embroidery as part of a local art show next August! I asked the director if I counted and she said yes, and then I showed her my current WIP and she said, quote, "oh you MUST!" I am super hyped and also super MUST MAKE ALL THE THINGS.
