Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've been delving into the greenhouse again today. The dustbin was emptied this morning and is already half full again *sigh* I've moved a couple of bags that AREN'T crumbling out of the greenhouse and into the shed, I can go through those later, and I've brushed the worst of the muck off most of the used plant pots that I've fished out, so I'm getting somewhere, just very slowly.

What are your ultimate plans with the greenhouse? Turning it into a shed or using it again for its original purpose?

Turning it back into a greenhouse. None of the stuff in there SHOULD be in there, it used to be in a shed, but when the shed started to crumble my friend shifted everything into the greenhouse without my consent, and the sunlight has of course caused most of the plastic bags to crumble *sigh*

I continued Sorting my sequins. That's all. It was a hot day with lots of chores.

At least sequin sorting should be relaxing on hot days.

Not really. It is so frusttatingly slow that after a while I start sweating even more profoundly from sheer nerves. But it has to be done to make my life easier later.

I finished the last scrubby (a skein makes 4) and blocked the heart coasters. Should take some photos tomorrow and get that all packed up for the mail.

Started the crochet basket for the next baby - this is going to go fast. It's only single crochet, and with 3 strands of yarn held together. I've already finished the base (12" across).

Other than that, today I washed and hung linens out in the hot sun, including sunning a couple of pillows.

Finished a kerchief I started yesterday. I WON AT YARN CHICKEN!!! That was exciting, because it previously was a pair of fingerless mitts I had lost at.

Working on making a snowflake from a different pattern than my normal one. I showed pattern's photo to mom, who said, "It's the same as last year's snowflake". No, it isn't. They *are* similar but this one is slightly different.

I knit some on a shawl I cast on a few days ago. The rows are still very short, and I didn't do many rows so not much time spent on it, but hey, I touched it.

Now I am attempting to frog a hat I knitted with bulky yarn a while ago that came out far too big. I wove the ends in, though, and they're being stubborn with letting me know where they are (the hat is a dark blue, so, hard to see.)

I continue to be very excited about the craft fair, and don't want to do anything besides make stuff for it. Which is great! but (a) my hands will give out eventually (b) there's a special limited-time event in my MMORPG, and I really should be playing it at least somewhat. But no, MAKE ALL THE THINGS!

Well, there ARE hats that look like frogs, but no, I'm not making a frog hat. "Frog" is slang amongst knitters and crocheters for "unravel" - i.e., I'm unraveling past projects I finished that didn't work out for one reason or another to reclaim the yarn.

I do do a lot of fun projects, though. :) I'm big into making soft toys, mostly dolls of video game characters, but right now I'm focusing on quicker items for the craft fair.

Yay for winning! It's always such a relief to finish something before running out of yarn.

OMG, dark blue and black are the WORST colours to undo. Even in good sunlight it's hard to find ends. Good luck with that, and with the many and varied craft fair items. Just don't push too hard, and definitely take some time every day for you game, your hands will appreciate the break.

I managed to do multiple rows of dingle crochet today, then unraveled it all to try it again and this time failed out SO HARD. why is crafting, I ask you.
