Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've finished seaming the mermaid page. Now only the umbrella page is left - and the binding of the book, of course.

I'm considering make a few of these for Christmas. They look easy enough, and good for utilizing any felt rests that may fall off from bigger projects.

And also a few of these ones, for the same purpose. My quiet book is nearly done, and Christmas is closer (craft-wise) than one would believe.

Well done! I know the binding will be tough, but you're flying through this book.

Both sets of nativity ornaments are cute, but I think the egg-shaped ones are the most fun, especially the one with the shepherd and sheep. So cute!

Christmas ornaments were what got me to felt work - and then there was no stopping. You can see some of the other ones here, although some of the older photos aren't very good. They were made with an actual camera before I'd realize that the iPad mini is the better solution.

I've seen some of your mittens and Christmas stockings before, but I had no idea you'd made so many other wonderful things! I especially love the gingerbread men and the little stars wearing Santa hats!

I've raised a lot of money with them on our pre-Christmas charity fair at school. My booth was usually the most successful one. I also made a great deal of paper items, too: cards, explosion boxes, Advent calendars and the likes.

Tell me about it! Two years ago I suggested to make an online fair, but they didn't want it. So there has been nothing for two years, and it's doubtful that there'll be one this year.

It's sad, raising money for charity is as important as ever, maybe more so, but it doesn't happen the way it did.

Another day of doing battle in the garden. I did get up the stepladder, but only a couple of steps up, then I used my loppers to bring down chunks of rose and conifer. My legs are going to hurt tomorrow from balancing on the steps.

I have the beginnings of a blister and my hands feel all prickled. Rose thorns are bad enough but the conifer is so spiky and the sharp bits get everywhere. Still got a long way to go before the job is done.

It won't get done if I don't do it though, and I do enjoy it even though it's hard work. It's a challenge.
