Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Did the honeysuckle bloom this year? Or is it not ready yet? My old neighbor used to have some.

You don't do things by halves, do you?

As I was drinking coffee this morning, my parents texted. Dad LOVES cutting the box hedge and he knows it needed it, so they came up to do that. I went outside and used up all my energy finishing cutting saplings & putting brush killer, because what was left to do was inside the hedge. Then there was random yard stuff and fetching items. Mom did weed some of the flowerbed I meant to work on.

And this day lily, which is a start off of a cousin's, bloomed for the first time today. It's a creamy apricot. I now want all of the day lilies.

Maybe later I'll work on the baby blanket, but I'm tuckered out.

Sounds like a full day. Small wonder you're tired, even with help. The baby blanket won't go anywhere.

I got myself to eat a good supper and am perking up a bit. I was too tired and hot for much lunch, that surely didn't help.

He has a thing about tidying, and I think the straight lines of the hedge appeal.

I've actually finished the mermaid page in the early hours, when temperatures were tolerable, and stitched it together with the back cover of the book. Coming up: the seaming - ungodly long and utterly boring, but it has to be done. Fortunately, tomorrow there'll be cop shows on German telly again, which is very good background noise for sewing.

You really flew on this one! Seemed like you just started it. Fingers crossed for good background television.

I posted my June crafting recap in my journal, here: https://xnera.dreamwidth.org/1088554.html

Today I am working on the blanket for my niece. I have 17 rows left to do, am hoping to get two more done today.

I also started Stephen West's Glacier Sweep today. It's for a Nerdopolis project, so hopefully I can get it done this month.

I finished about 12 inches of binding on a quilt.
