Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Had rain off and on all day so I stayed in, reorganised bookshelves downstairs, and then emptied a couple of the boxes in the cupboard, putting the books on the shelves. Found a few more to get rid of, including some very old books from the 30s that belonged to my mum. They're very battered but hopefully the charity shop will still take them anyway. Someone might like them. At least I feel like I've accomplished something.

It was. Some of the boxes were very heavy, but I emptied two of the biggest, which is good.

Heee! I am indeed! I feel a bit guilty getting rid of mum's ancient books, but I can't keep everything.

Oh, only a few hundred... My problem is finding books I DON'T want to read, so I can get rid of some... I've accumulated way too many.

I've all but finished the mermaid page. Just a few tiny additions are needed. It turned out quite differently than originally imagined, but colourful and funny, so I think it will do.

I feel like I've just been dragging the last few days, but I finished repotting the final houseplants. Today it is raining. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get back to weeding.

It felt like it wasn't as bad this time - probably because I specifically waited for rain or another reason I could not work on other projects.

Mostly a couple "problem areas" that I THINK I will have fully conquered soon.

Hopefully! Some of them are tiny babies that I saved off plants that didn't survive the move to a new house with different water. I am looking forward to them getting big enough to be in my nicer pots.

I peeked over the the hedge at the flowerbed, the weeds in the problem area are huge. Guess I'll have a lot to grab on to.

I'm continuing slowly with the wave pattern on the back of mini Hobbit's cardigan. And because I had some time (and it was raining again) I got on and finished DIL's birthday card.

I've been bad about being in touch - my crafting has largely been on hold, I should still be working on the multicoloured socks but am trying to crochet the second sock from the opposite end of the yarn without having finished the first as I think I'm going to have to amend the sizing as there won't be enough yarn for the full size socks.

It's been an odd couple of weeks, I've been a bit out of sorts due to the unexpected deaths of two friends (not related) which left me feeling a bit like I wanted to shut out the world for a bit so I haven't really been online.

I had booked some time off work with the plan of working on redecorating the lounge (I've done this and so there is just the skirting left to do and then putting back the furniture and hanging the pictures). I had a birthday so took some time off the redecorating for lunch with family and also for some medical appointments. I've also been sanding and waxing some of the furniture in the lounge as well.

I'm sorry you've had so much to cope with. It's no wonder you haven't wanted to do any crafting. I'm glad you got the redecoration done.

I did that with some arm warmers when I wasn't sure if I'd have enough to do the second one. Gets a bit fiddle working from both ends of the yarn though.

Sorry to hear about your friends, very understandable for you to feel like hiding away for a bit. It must have been quite a shock.

Sounds like you've been busy with the redecorating. I'm sure the freshly waxed furniture looks great.

I'm so sorry about your friends, that is a lot to deal with.

I always tell myself that redecorating & house projects count as crafts. :D Probably to keep my sanity.

I'm down to the very last project before I down tools for the festival. Sewing the ties onto the second blue flag. Today I packed the trailer, polished a brass casket, walked the kitty twice and bought some laces to use as tent ties. All other festival jobs will be promo and on the morning I leave jobs.
