Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Miraculously the rain held off, so I managed to get outside for a couple of hours and start work cutting back the low branch on the conifer. I can now walk beneath it upright instead of having to bend double. The garden waste bin is already full though (emptying day tomorrow) so I have two buckets full of finely chopped conifer. Also a bag of dry dead rose bush twigs and other assorted kindling.

It's raining out now though, so I don't know if I'll get outside tomorrow.

I did get my chores done today, so yay.

I drove by my new place to be this weekend and remarked on the landscaping work it needs - there's a strip right outside the window that will belong to me (the rest is yard). I'm getting help though because gardening is not one of my gifts, haha.

Who knows, with a little strip all your own you might discover a hidden talent! Hopefully your helper will make it took pretty for you. =)

It's probably my mom (though I may also find a college student who needs the occasional cash, so mom doesn't stress or anything) and she is SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC. It's pretty sweet and also a little terrifying, haha.

I've finished the back cover of the Candy Princess quiet book. That's six pages done (four of them seamed), two more to go. I've more or less decided to make another maritime page, this time with a mermaid, for the lacing activity and the umbrella page for the counting activity. The latter is a pattern I haven't done yet, so it promises to be... err... interesting.

Yay! Closer to the finish line, and the last page sounds intriguing! Looking forward to pictures when you get around to them.

I'm afraid the photos have to wait, as I've rearranged the order of the pages and they still need to be framed. Well, half of them. But when they are done, there will be excessive picspam, I promise!

I did some stress knitting on my current project, my partner's robe. I was stopped as I need stitch markers and don't know where mine are atm.

Knitting is a good stress reliever - until you can't find essential equipment. Hope you find your stitch markers soon.

I hate not being able to find things! My side table is currently slightly trashed because I was digging for a color thread I couldn't find. Whoops.

Things - especially small items - have the malevolent tendency to hide when we need them most.

Nothing. I took some sewing with me into the city but didn't actually sew any of it.

Ah well, can't fit in crafting all the time ands at least you had some with you just in case. The thought was there.
