Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Meant to do more than just a few rows on the scarf, but my hand started really hurting so I called it quits early. Still, progress!

You should always listen to your hands. It's never good to overdo things. Hope they feel better soon. Yay for progress, even if it's not as much as you would have liked.

I got outside again this afternoon, tidying up where the logs used to be on the lawn, which involved pulling up a lot of long grass and weeds, and unearthing a lot of twigs. It was fiddly because I was trying to leave most of the violets, and get a lot of ivy out, but it looks much better than it did.

Only thing is, I completely lost track of time and when I came back to the house it was almost 6pm. I always come inside between 4.30 and 5pm, so I have time to do my chores before getting something to eat. Chores did not get done today, they'll have to wait until tomorrow, when it's supposed to be raining anyway.

That's the way it goes with chores. Ah well, I got a good long time outside and enjoyed it.

Sounds fine since you probably can't work outside tomorrow.

WE shall see. If it doesn't rain I'll go out there for a bit, but if it does I'll stay in, get my chores done, and do other things.

I managed to make good progress on the back cover of the Candy Princess quiet book. I chose a bird house in a tree as the central motif and it's turning out quite lovely, even though a bit... err... colourful. ;)) All I'll need to do tomorrow or the day after is to fix the birds with ribbons, so that they can take their turn in the bird house, and to stitch on the blue strip representing the sky and two bushes on the bottom, behind which the birds can hide.

I've worked on the baby blanket just a tiny bit. Mostly today I'm just tired from husband having 3 days off, his parents being here, doing lots of chores. After his parents left yesterday, he mowed and I did the string trimming and swept the sidewalks. Had him bag the grass clippings so I can use those as mulch and save the wood mulch for the rose bed.

Grass clipping make good mulch, lots of nutrients for your plants.

I have taken so long to get back to weeding that it looks like I never did it.

Just making a coffee then settling down to sew those darn flags. was distracted making medieval memes, which is also important.

I have 20 metres of painted flags already done from previous years, but these two are hemmed so a bit more fiddly. The others are cotton and aren't hemmed.

Just how many things are you doing at the same time?

The good news is, I'm really starting to finish things off now. It's easy to sew while paint dries etc and sometimes I need a break from particularly big jobs to get smaller things finished.

I have done everything on my art project except the final outlining, and I do not know if I'll make it tonight. I had hoped to finish, wash & iron it tonight so I could re-iron, frame, and photograph it tomorrow, but I may have to photograph it still slightly damp and use that for the entry. Not the end of the world!
