Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Yep, they are giving me reproachful looks because I still haven't started on the mouths. But that's a very tricky part, so it has to wait until after our little party tomorrow.

Besides, I'll have to iron the mouths first. Those pieces of felt are a bit rumpled.

A cherry tart with chocolate custard creme and red jelly - the poor man's Black Forest Gateaux. *g*

Oh, yes! I baked six different things in three days, always in the early morning because of the heat, but they were all winners.

Went outside this morning to check things out and cut off a couple of laurel branches that were really in the way yesterday, but everything was too wet for me to do much. I collected another bucketful of fallen leaves to keep them from getting on the cleared path, but that was it.

This afternoon I sewed up the first shoulder of the red sweater I was making last year and knitted the neckband, but I cast off too loosely so I'll have to unlick that and re-do it. I might actually do a few more rows and fold it over. Makes the neck so comfy and cosy, and I think I can get away with maybe 6 more rows... Should be enough yarn in the little leftover ball I'm using to do that much.

Sort of. I really want to get this sweater finished because there are others I'd like to make... *eyes shelves full of yarn*

It will be if I ever get it done. I already have plenty, I think I finished three last year, but this one has been hanging around for way too long. I think I might want to add a bit more to the sleeves but I won't know until I've got the body finished. It's drop-shouldered, meaning there no inset for armholes, makes for an easier knit but it's harder to judge sleeve length until I know how far down the shoulder will come.

Is this one of the last old WIPs? or did you finish those and I missed it during the post-move exhaustion.

No, the two black ones still haven't been tackled and the red one was coming out too small so I unravelled it. I'm a tiny, skinny person, but it wouldn't have been any good even for me =/

This is one I started sometime last year and spent the whole time wondering if I'd have enough yarn to complete it, which is at least partly why the sleeves might be on the short side. It's dark red, and I was working from two patterns.

Sounds like you're keeping busy - your sweater will be ready for use soon by the sounds of it which is good news.

It'll depend on when I next have time to work on it, but I'd like it done by winter.... *grins*

A few more rows on the scarf! It's growing well. I didn't end up editing after all, but I'd forgotten a friend was streaming Hades so I watched that this afternoon instead.

Worked on the baby afghan a tiny bit, but parents came today for brother's birthday. Which also included them planning a vacation together this fall.

Cross stitch - still working on the same card - doing the last of the border edge and filling in the little gaps where there are only a couple of stitches in a colour. Hopefully I'll be done soon. (Also spent a few hours at a dance competition in which my niece was competing).
