Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today I wasted another crafty hour or so to replace the doomed jellyfish with a crab - I botched up that one, too. So the crab ended up cut in pieces and thrown out. I've decided to put the deep sea page aside and do something else in the next week or so. Like more Big Fish(TM). If a crafty piece is so obviously cursed it needs to rest for a while.

The sticky weed has been vanquished! Well, that patch anyway. There's more elsewhere, single plants mostly, although the compost heap is smothered, but the huge mass has been ripped up and most has gone in the bin. I filled two more buckets and took a couple of big armloads to the bin, the equivalent of a couple more bucket loads. Also pulled up some other weeds.

I know the sticky weed will probably grow back, it probably shed a lot of seeds while I was pulling it up and a lot of the roots are still there, but for the moment it's under control. My hands feel sandpapered again, my back aches, my fingers are stained browner than ever, but I am triumphant! Yay!

Also tired.

I did actually think of putting it in a sack to rot down, but I was worried the seeds would remain viable.

It was a hard-fought battle, but I was victorious! Might try wearing rubber gloves next time I have to deal with a lot of sticky weed though. It's really abrasive in large quantities.
