Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It's been very cold, wet, and miserable today, but blankets and hot water bottles are good.

I wrote, I read, I played cards, and I finally won a game I've been trying to win for nearly a week. I've re-started it so many times and I finally got it right. Yay! It's an old favourite, one that's mostly skill, with a lot of figuring out moves in advance, tricky but so satisfying to win =)

Yep! It's all tactics. I started another game and I ALMOST won it, but there are three groups of cards in the wrong places and no way to move any of them so I'll have to start again.

Warmer weather would be more than welcome.

I sewed up the hole in the seam of the new top I bought the other day that had come apart the first time I wore it. I've made progress on the second Christmas design - this one is big enough to fit a card which is a relief. It's nearly done but I have a whole bunch of single stitches in different colours left to do and then I have to outline each one. Hope to finish it in the next day or so.

Yay for completed clothing repairs!

You're doing well with your cross stitch! The scattered single stitches get so frustrating.

I've finished the birthday cake page and even stitched it together with the front page (the one with the hot air balloon). Next up: the long and tedious seaming. *sigh* I didn't do much else today; felt tired and a bit dizzy at times. This sudden outbreak of summer has taken its toll on us - and I could never bear hot weather anyway.

I wish I could take some of your heat. It's so cold here, my house feels like an icebox. It shouldn't be this cold in June. Too much heat affects me too, but I'd welcome something warmer than I've got right now.

The worst part is that weather changes come so suddenly - there aren't any slow periods in-between anymore!

I wish the weather here would change back to something more summery. I'd mind the sudden changes less if there was some decent weather in there.
