Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Another day when I've done a whole lot of nothing beyond trying to keep warm. I did some writing, sorted more files on the ancient laptop (it runs windows XP, which is really clunky compared to what I'm used to now), and I've been reading fanfic most of the evening. Some days that's the best thing to do.

I ended up playing Bejewelled on my old laptop and didn't get to bed until after midnight. Oops!

Just a bit under the weather. I think the cold and damp have got into me, it often happens when I let the fire out for summer. I'll survive.

I did about 1/4 of a row and ran out of yarn. DHL's original tracking said it would be here on Friday, then on Friday it changed to a week out. Gah. But the ground was finally not completely soggy so I planted the native plants I have had for a couple weeks. Then burned a few sticks in the chiminea.

Husband is sick and I rather expect I will be tomorrow (throat getting scratchy). I made him take a covid test and it is negative, so regular old flu. We turned the heater back on (it is cold) and I ordered some sick person food on our grocery delivery for the morning.

Sorry to hear your yarn is delayed and that you and your husband aren't feeling so good - I wish you both a speedy recovery.

Darn, that's so annoying! Hopefully the yarn will arrive soon.

It's that time of year with the change of weather. I'm snuffly myself and still feeling crappy. I wish I could turn my heating back on but I'd have to lay and light a fire, which takes hours, and even then it would take a couple of days to warm the house up and I'd probably wind up too hot again. I just want summer temps, 20C would do me. Today it's 15C, and that's too cold for me. The house of course feels colder.

Yay for planting plants!

I have spent almost the entire weekend stitching! I started and finished a sampler in one day, got a chunk done on my most outstanding project, and worked on that birthday present that's due in the near future. Oh, and I got the next sampler in my project outlined so it's ready to start stitching when I get a chance.

It was lovely to just get to do that.

What a great weekend! Well done with finishing a sampler in a day, that's really fast! And progress on two other pieces, you rock!

After another couple of days of not getting anything done because I was too tired, I managed to pick the cross-stitch back up again yesterday and finished one colour in the bank and the rest of Piglet (bar the outlining). Just need a bit more energy/less tiredness to get this done now as there's not that much left to go.

I hear you on the being too tired. It's my default setting. I'm missing the days of turning out meeces by the barrowload, I seem to have lost my crafting motivation recently.

Well done for making more progress! Hope you find the energy to get the cross stitch finished soon.
