Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Another craft-free day, but progress in the garden is good. I'm hoping one more day will see the ground cleared of top weeds and ready for the digging out of roots. I just have to steel myself to rip out a large clump of perennial geranium first. I've got plenty more of it elsewhere in the garden so I don't need it, but it's such a nice mounded clump and it's flowering. It's just in a stupid place, right at the bottom of the steps, and it's got pernicious weeds growing through it, so it's got to go.

I also half filled a large plant pot with the big stones I threw into the weeds last year. No doubt I'll turn up more when I start digging, but I'll have to be careful because of the shrub roots.

Hooray for progress. Good luck digging up the geranium, it is hard when they're flowering!

It's such a pretty one, but it has to go. I must be strong because before long it'll start getting floppy and straggly anyway, and be even more of a nuisance.

Yes. I was just spraying bugs on the roses again, and thinking...why am I doing care on a couple that I don't want to keep? May be cutting those off in the next few days, so at least they aren't harboring pests.

And BK really wants the space!

So true, I don't want to be tripping over it when it starts getting straggly! More for the compost heap!

Well done, you’re doing a fantastic job and the garden will be amazing by the time you’re done. Shame about the geraniums, but with more in the garden you’ll be able to grow more if you want to.

This is only one small patch, the rest is a total mess, but if I can conquer it bit by bit I might get somewhere...

As for the geranium, I'll grow more whether I want to or no. It self-sets like crazy, and geranium phaeum is even worse. It's growing all over the lawn because of the way the seeds ping o_O

The condo I am hopefully buying (waiting on paperwork) has a lovely strip of plants out front. My mom was reassuring me today that she would help, as I have negative plant skills. :)

I've finished seaming one of the deep sea pages. The stitches aren't as straight and even as I'd prefer them, but after having undone one side, oh, I think seven times and the eight version wasn't any better, I decided to leave it as it is. I seriously doubt that the two-year-old recipients would notice - or care. It is me who's annoyed when I can't produce the quality I've aimed for, but sometimes you just have to let things go.

Well done! And I'm sure you're right, the boys won't notice. It's annoying when we can't get things to our satisfaction, but you could stitch those seams another dozen times and still have the same result. Sometimes it's just not worth getting frustrated over.

On the 9th time you lose it entirely, so a good thing you stopped. ;). It probably won't be even as noticable to you when it's finished?

A little work on the afghan today, and the yarn I ordered shipped. Herrschners didn't let me down.

Weeded for about half an hour. It rained over 2" in one burst and everything looks beaten down. Will spray for bugs again on the roses.

That's a lot of rain in one burst, no wonder it flattened everything!

Stitching was easier today - I've stitched one of the fishing boats, so seeing the pattern was much easier.

I’ve continued with the cross stitch- working on the grass on top of the bank, Piglet’s ears and more of the bank. Not as much progress as the last few days, but I didn’t have anywhere near the same amount of time so still okay.

finished a project today! (except the washing, ironing, whatever, la la) I am particularly proud of my French knots! I learned a new technique today and it's pretty great.
