Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another day of no crafting, but I spent an hour or so outside and made great progress on clearing surface weeds. Also spent time sorting files on my old computer and deleting the duplicates. Still a lot of work to do there, but it all helps free up space.

Would that hoeing would get it done, but I'm on my knees tearing up foot tall weeds, grass, docks, and dandelions, mixed in with brambles and bindweed, and a lot of rocks o_O These weeds are far from weedy!

Mostly a chores day for me. Tonight I will be spraying the roses. I'd noticed something was snacking on them but couldn't tell exactly what was going on, today I saw the little black bugs.

The tea roses opened their first blooms today. I believe this one to be Chrysler Imperial. Strong classic rose scent and very wicked thorns.

I made a mistake in my cross stitch - miscounted part of the sea and it took ages to put it right. Three different shades of turquoise and I missed part of a line.

Instead of making progress you end up going backwards. I know that feeling.

Me, too. My seaming always goes like that: two stitches forward and three backward. Undo, rinse and repeat...

It's something stitchers of all kinds are familiar with. Knitters ad crocheters too.

Ugh, I hate when you either have to rip back or fudge it. Miscounting with all that blue sounds easy to do too.

I thought about fudging it, but it affected the basic shape and would have had consequences all the way through. Had it just been the odd stitch in the wrong shade of blue I wouldn't have worried.

More cross stitch progress- Eeyore is now completely finished (including the outlining), I’ve started on Tigger’s outlining now as well. I’ve also worked more on the grass and the bank and hope to finish the grass at the bottom of the picture tonight. Tomorrow all being well I should be able to start on Piglet. I found something new to watch on Tv and so have just sat for ages working on my stitching and working my way through the series.

lots of progress on the sampler I'm making as part of my Year of Stich classes - I'm now up to week 9 of the year (for those of you keeping track, there have been, I believe, 20 weeks in the year so far? oops.)

I also have a birthday present that has to be there in, like, three weeks, so I should...I should do that.

I've pinned on the seaming material to the 2 remaining pages... and nothing else. Was totally unmotivated today.
