Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No gardening today, I'm conserving energy because I have to go to town tomorrow for my first eye test in over two years >.< I shouldn't have left it so long, but... pandemic!

Anyway, I stayed in and finished stitching the long eared owl, so he's done and I love him. He looks so fierce Also started the next one, a little owl sitting on a fence post, but I haven't got very far with it yet, just a bit of the post and part of the feet.

Thanks! The owl looks great to me at the moment. We'll see if it still does after I get new glasses. I don't have to leave for a while yes., but it's pouring with rain. Such fun. Not.

I am desperately in need of new glasses. Usually I enjoy my eye test, but this time I'm bothered about having the optician breathing on me.

Yeah, it's technically past time for my next eye test but I'm not going during a pandemic unless things are dire.

Mine was two and a half years late and my eyes have been getting worse, so I'm glad I went. Cleanliness is very important at my optician's. every pair of frames you try gets thoroughly cleaned before being put back on display. Made me feel a lot safer. I shall have new glasses in a few weeks! I might be able to see better!

Working a tiny bit on the million year WIP afghan border. I'm not quite half way. Slow going.

Hot days expected until Friday (it's 93 again). I got out and watered just before sunrise.

With temperatures that high, before the sun's up is the best time to water! I wouldn't want to get up that early though...

No mermaid on this one I'm afraid. An octopus, yes, a seahorse, a jellyfish and an ordinary fish that can be fed, yes, but no mermaid. That one I made for a book that went to a little girl a year ago. :)

I'm trying, although I'm on my way to run out of steam. Thank God these are the final pages. Seaming them and binding the books will be tedious enough.

I spent today winding embroidery threads on to cards for storage - I spent a couple of hours doing these so didn't have time to do anything else crafty.

It's all preparation though, right? Once your threads are properly stored you'll have a better idea of what you've got and be able to find the one you want more easily.
